ALL BUSINESS NO PLEASURE (EMOTIONS)

IN LIFE WE LEARN NOT TO MIX BUSINESS WITH PLEASURE. WHEN I SAY PLEASURE, I MEAN...DON'T GET PERSONAL WITH YOUR BUSINESS CONNECTS. ONCE THAT HAPPENS EMOTIONS COME INTO THE PICTURE, AND PEOPLE FORGET THE BUSINESS SIDE, AND FOCUS ON THE PERSONAL/EMOTIONAL. 

IN ORDER TO CONDUCT A SMOOTH BUSINESS, YOU HAVE TO SEPARATE YOUR PERSONAL EMOTIONS WHEN DEALING WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS. AS I GO DOWN THIS JOURNEY; I'M SEEING THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE DON'T KNOW HOW TO "HOLD THEIR LIQUOR" FOR BETTER WORDS. THEY LET THEIR EMOTIONS GET THE BEST OF THEM, AND JUST GO OFF ON A TANGENT ABOUT WHAT PEOPLE AREN'T DOING FOR THEM! 

KEY WORD: NOT DOING FOR THEM. SOMETIMES ISN'T NOT ABOUT YOU AS THE PERSON, BUT YOU THE BUSINESS PERSON. FOCUS ON THE BUSINESS NOT YOUR OWN PERSONAL EMOTIONS. AS HUMANS IT'S ONLY NATURAL THAT WE EXPRESS HOW WE FEEL, BUT WITH THAT YOU HAVE TO AVOID BRINGING THOSE EMOTIONS INTO THE BUSINESS. IT'S ALL ABOUT BEING PROFESSIONAL. YOUR ATTITUDE TOWARDS A SITUATION WILL FOLLOW YOU ON YOUR BUSINESS JOURNEY, AND GIVE YOU A BAD REPUTATION...NOW, YOU DON'T WANT THAT? NOW DO YOU? I DIDN'T THINK SO!

I SAY ALL OF THIS TO SAY,  I'M ALL ABOUT THE BUSINESS, BUT OTHER PEOPLE ARE ABOUT THE PLEASURE (EMOTIONS). SO REMEMBER THIS, AS LONG AS YOU STAY IN YOUR OWN BUSINESS LANE, AND NOT TRY TO REAR OFF INTO SOMEONE ELSES LANE; YOU'LL BE FINE.
