DC FASHION NIGHT OUT @ SPORTS ZONE GEORGETOWN

FNO Sports Zone Georgetown 

It was a privilege and honor to be invited to take part in one of fashions most talked about events...DC Fashion Night Out. This night was filled with stars, and not the ones in the sky. Were talking International as well as local designers gathering together to make fashion history. Sports Zone Georgetown was kind enough to open their doors to FNO for an Urban filled runway show.







The models looked phenomenal with the help from fashions #1 most sought after stylist,

Models were dressed head to toe in apparel by; Nike, Adidas, Northface, New Balance, Levi's, GDC, Renee Cabactnoh, Suburban_Rio, Almost Famous, Lifers, Cuban Link, and yours truly Jazzy Jewelz. This event embodied the true essence of fashion with the a twist of DC flare ! No one can do it better than the Nations Capital. Stand up DC and give yourself a pat on the back, you represented well!

Learn about tools and materials. Construct basic earrings with headpins and beads. Create an 18" necklace on cable wire and learn how to finish with crimps. These techniques will launch you confidently into the world of bead stringing and design in just two hours.
Supplies: Basic Class Kit (available at the register) and enough beads in colors and styles you like to fill 18" of cord. Larger beads and a simple design for your first effort will save stringing time, allowing more time in class to concentrate on techniques. For earrings, bring a few extra beads with holes large enough to fit on headpins.

For those looking to take a basic beading class for earrings only or individuals wanting to brush up on their earring making skills, this class is perfect for you.  For 1 hour we will be entirely focused on earrings, starting from square one.  Earrings are great instant gratification for new beaders and self-proclaimed "un-creative types!" They are so easy you can whip up a pair while you drink your morning coffee to match your outfit for the day.  We will make 2 types of beginning earrings and learn all about the world of earring findings from earhooks to earclips and decorative headpins to plain eyepins. 

Supplies: 4 earwires (posts, hooks, or clip on); 4 headpins (plain or decorative); 2 eyepins; variety of beads to fit your pins (remember to include little space beads, they really elevate your designs); chain nose & round nose pliers; wire cutters; beading mat.

BASIC EARRINGS- SIMPLY LOOPS  $30

Simply Loops is the class for those who wish to learn the two basic ways to make loops for earrings.  You no longer will have to suffer with earring envy because you will learn both the simple loop (for the beginner) as well as the more advanced wire wrapped loop.  Both have their advantages which will also be discussed.  Earrings can be very easy and fun to do and this class will kick off your new earring making habit!
Supplies: 1 package of 24 gauge wire; 1 package of base metal head pins; 4 precious metal head pins; 4 - 8 precious metal earwires; at least 10 beads, a fun selection of your choice of beads suitable for earrings, 4 - 8mm in size; 4 spacer beads; chain nose and round nose pliers; wire cutters.
